40+ participants

The workshop Quantum Spins at the Nanoscale brought together international experts in the field of Quantum Nanoscience. The event was focused on recent developments in the study of open quantum spin systems at the nanoscale.

Workshop to Define Quantum Nanoscience

17- 20 September 2018
Ewha Womans University

8 senior international leaders spanning the field
1 professional facilitator

This active working group grappled with the definition of this important and growing field. By the end, a definition was achieved, this was posted to Wikipedia, and the participants chose to write a paper introducing their definition to the larger scientific community.

Workshop on Advanced Scanning Probe Microscopy (ASPM)

16 - 18 August 2018
BEXCO, Busan, South Korea

19 lectures
10 international speakers
21 posters
100+ participants

Due to the great success of ASPM 2017, it is apparent that ASPM has become a successful platform in Korea for sharing and exchanging the latest advances in science and technology using SPM. ASPM 2018 hopes to bring together scientists from a wide range of research fields at a single atomic and molecular scale. The workshop will address both fundamental science and cutting-edge technologies.
