Title: Fourth Law of Thermodynamics: Application to finite dimensional systems

Abstract: In this talk, I will give an overview of the steepest entropy ascent (SEA) formalism, also known as the fourth law of thermodynamics. I will begin by introducing some preliminaries of the SEA, and then will follow up with results for some finite dimensional quantum systems including single qubit, single quantum walker, and two fermionic quantum walkers. I will conclude the talk by discussing about the future directions with this theory.
