현재 성장하고 있는 양자나노과학 분야의 발전을 위하여, 양자나노과학의 정의를 규명의 필요성이 대두되었습니다. 이에 국제적으로 활동하고 있는 양자나노과학의 전문가들을 초빙하여 양자나노과학의 정의를 규명하는 워크숍을 진행했습니다.
본 워크숍을 통해 이 분야에 대한 정의를 합의하여 위키피디아에 기재하였으며, 참가자들은 과학계에 자신들이 규정한 정의를 소개하는 논문을 작성 및 발표하기로 합의하였습니다.
