Into the QURIOUS World of Quantum
The IBS Center for Quantum Nanoscience (QNS), in collaboration with middle and high school teachers, has developed a quantum nanoscience education program aimed at nurturing the next generation of scientific leaders. This program enables students to learn the principles of quantum mechanics and core quantum concepts not through formulas and memorization, but through hands-on activities and experiments.
*The QURIOUS program is currently available only in Korean.
What is it’s purpose?
-Supports students in engaging with the cutting-edge field of quantum nanoscience in an accessible and approachable manner
-Enables students to explore the development and key concepts of quantum science in an engaging way, while fostering creativity through hands-on experiences
-Promotes understanding of the value and importance of fundamental science through connections to real-life contexts
Where can this program be applied?
-Within the regular school curriculum
-As part of advanced learner programs
-In science club activities
-For contests and project-based learning
How is the program structured?
-The program is designed in a modular format, allowing teachers to flexibly select, adapt, and reorganize content to suit their specific classroom needs.

Qurious Preview
A chance to visit a real quantum research laboratory?
-Separate application required for facilitators of the “Nano Investment Pitch” activity within the QURIOUS program
-Research center visit opportunity provided through a lottery among applicants
-Opportunity to explore quantum science research spaces and laboratories firsthand
-Opportunity to present a nano-technology investment pitch in front of real scientists
-Detailed information regarding the lab visit will be announced later on the website
