Aleksander Bogucki
Aleksander Bogucki’s PhD research focused on spin relaxation times of magnetic ions in semiconductor nanostructures, particularly manganese (Mn²⁺) and cobalt (Co²⁺). He studied the effects of strain on spin relaxation using optically detected magnetic resonance (ODMR) in quantum wells and quantum dots. During his doctoral studies, he developed 3D-printed polymer microlenses to enhance light extraction for experiments. His work combined spectroscopy, spin dynamics, and nanotechnology, advancing the understanding of how strain impacts spin relaxation in these systems.
Currently, at QNS, Aleksander is using his experimental background to develop a new setup that integrates Scanning Tunneling Microscopy (STM) with optical techniques.
