About the Program

The QNS Summer School is a 3-4 weeks immersive research experience designed for international students passionate about quantum and nanoscience. Held at the IBS Center for Quantum Nanoscience in Seoul, South Korea, the program offers theoretical foundations, hands-on experimentation, and collaborative research.
Program Details
- Duration: July 1st Wednesday, 2026 ~ July 24th Friday, 2026
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Location: IBS Center for Quantum Nanoscience, Seoul, South Korea
Participating Labs & Teams
- Lab A – Electron Spin Qubits on Surfaces
- Lab B – Spins on Surfaces with Ensemble Techniques
- Lab C – Optics Integrated Scanning Tunneling Microscopy
- Lab D – Optics-Combined Scanning Probe Microscopy
- Lab E – Chemistry Lab
- Theory team – Theory of Quantum-Coherence of Qubits on Surfaces
- Technical Support Team – Equipment Management & Basics of STM

- Week 1: Orientation, Technology Workshop
- Week 2: Lab A,B Lecture and Practice, Excursion 1
- Week 3: Lab C,D Lecture and Practice, Excursion 2
- Week 4: LAB E, Theory team Lecture and Practice, Presentations, Ceremony

- 4th year BS student in Physics
- MS student in Physics
