During my Ph.D. at the University of Southern California (USC), I participated in the development of a custom continues-wave (cw)/pulsed high-frequency/-field electron paramagentic resonance (EPR) spectrometer operating at 230/110 GHz with electron-electron double resonance (ELDOR) and dynamical decoupling (DD) capability. And with the spectrometer, I mainly studied ensemble of paramagnetic defects and radicals in solid samples, mostly synthetic diamond crystals.

I then moved to the Institute for Quantum Computing (IQC), University of Waterloo (UW), where I worked as a postdoctoral researcher on experimentally realizing various gradient-based, open-/closed-loop quantum optimal control methods in electron-nuclear coupled systems using a custom pulsed X-band EPR/electron-nuclear double resonance (ENDOR) spectrometer with arbitrary waveform generator (AWG) capability.
