Career Coffee – Science Meets International Relations

At the “Science Meets International Relations” Career Coffee, we delved into career opportunities beyond academia. Scientific advisors—Alessandra Apicella, Anett Schwarz, Ju Young Kim, and Juliette Lefort—from various embassies in Seoul shared their personal career journeys. Each gave a 10-minute talk on their career paths, daily responsibilities, and key advice for aspiring scientists: follow your passion, stay curious, and don’t stress about having a linear career.

Topics ranged from the role of women in international relations to handling diverse personalities, navigating travel demands, and finding personal fulfillment in the field. This event reaffirmed WiS’s commitment to supporting the career growth of women in science.
